Hi PopPunk!
I can't believe we've been sticking around with GoPets for so long! Nothing's new in my life. I wish there was something new! My life is so boring. It's so boring, the last movie I saw was The Last Airbender - I think. It was a disappointment so I should probably go watch something more fun to make up for it.
I can't believe you wrote so much! I have to admire your perseverance. Every time I tried to write, I failed at 500 words. lol. Congratulations! I'm sure the 35K words will go by quickly enough.
I don't know what it is that you went through, but it sounds terrible. I am so glad that you were able to tell someone so that you can continue to heal. It definitely takes a strong person to start the path of healing.
Next month will be what would have been my 5-year (I think?) anniversary for GoPets. Can anyone tell me what the gift was for a 5-year GoPets player?
Edit: Just noticed on my profile that I joined this forum exactly one year ago!

Nice to hear from you PopPunk. Glad to hear you are getting therapy - it's helped me get through a couple rough patches in my life. And things are much easier to deal with once they are out in the open so I'm glad you told your Mom about your situation.
Congrats on getting so far with your writing! That's a really great outlet for you to have and it must be very satisfying to have accomplished so much.
Nothing much new here - the start of another school year for my daughter and since she's a senior we're doing lots of college research. I don't know what I'll do when she actually moves away to college next year - don't suppose she'd appreciate me following her and moving into her dorm, lol.

lol, m2m. Is she the type to call often? My two younger sisters are not. When the younger one went away, and did not call at least once a week, my parents started fretting and called her. The youngest is now away and has learned to call home once a week. haha. My parents have them (somewhat) trained. They were spoiled with me. I stayed home and commuted.

She better call often! I think she will because the alternative would be finding me at her door.

Rofl. I'm guessing she is fairly close by? With the youngest, it isn't much of an option for my parents to drive over and demand an explanation. She's currently 6-7 hours away. haha.

Oh, she will be far away - but that won't make any difference to me.

Re: ....
Hi there!
I'm sorry to hear you went through something. We had several traumatizing events (not the same as yours though, but these things combined turned some of my hair grey from stress.) It's good you got it out in the open. I hope your mom believes you and you seek therapy together at least for a short time. She is probably bothered by it as much as you but may not show it. Just remember that good things come out of bad things, if you just look to see what they are. Focusing on the good and positive and constructive helps. It takes time to heal, so give yourself all the time you need.
My kids are growing up! My daughter (annie191 on GoPets) went off to college this year. She was here at the community college the first year, then went out of town for the rest of her schooling. She's not far and comes home nearly every weekend so far. Thank GOODNESS for that - I'm so blessed. I miss her when she's not here. I think of what my mom went through when I went off to school. I was kind of bad - I didn't call as frequently as they wanted me to. I didn't go home many weekends (granted it was 3 hours away, when my daughter is only one hour away). I ended up staying there all summers to work. *sigh* If I could turn back time I'd have spent much more time at home. Now my folks are old. I can't get up there much myself, and I'm regretting lots of things when it comes to thinking about them.
My son (coolboy11) on GoPets is now 16 (he was 11 when he joined lol) He still plays Maplestory some times, but has mostly moved into other games. He wants to be a games designer when he goes to school. I've got game ideas for him! LOL Maybe he'll make the next GoPets...the one that actually stays around!
I'm trying to learn veggie, flower and herb gardening. I have to say it is NOT easy. Computer stuff is much easier to me - systematic and logical. Flowers die. Vegetable seeds planted from one thing grows to be something weirdly something else (hybrids). I used to be great at planning my GoPets desktop - flowers and furniture all looked good to me. But my yard - ugh. I need professional advice! LOL
Llike niquae, Avatar the Last Airbender was the last movie I saw. We never go out to movies because of the price, but this one we wanted to see as a family. We were truly disappointed, and I'd rather have spent my money on something else. At home I've been watching old Star Trek: TNG and will start watching DS9 again. I'm watching old stuff that I already saw, but sometimes I'm forcing myself not to re-watch things. Time is precious and we should only rewatch things we absolutely love, like DS9, TNG or Avatar episodes. The only current thing I've been enjoying is "The Event" starring Jack Ritter's son, Jason. It has enough interest to hold me right now.
I could blather on...but I won't! On to check out some other posts.

Re: ....
lol, Gankaku.
I tried planting a bean seed and growing it. I had a pot of soil and everything...but the daily intake of water. hehe. Needless to say, that plant did not grow.
But my GoPets lands were nicely decorated (when I had them done) and so are my Farmville lands. lol. Love the flowers but unfortunately, the flowers in Farmville die also. NOT MY FAULT. They programmed it that way. hehe.
The movie I am most looking forward to is The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. How about everyone else?

Re: ....
I can't even remember when I joined now... I am terrible with dates. I think it would have been around 5 years as well. (On another note, just realized the GoPets page on Wikipedia is gone. This makes me sorta sad. o^o)
I haven't done much lately and I feel like I am stuck in a rut. The last few weeks of summer and up til now has been filled with problems and now it's reached a temporary stalemate. As for movies, I saw Let Me In recently and it was a very good remake in my opinion.
But wow, Pop! That's a lot of writing... My writing is atrocious and I have the attention span of a squirrel.
