What did you do this summer?

Summer break is about half way through now at least in Canada. Anyways, I'm just wondering what everyone has been up to so far. I just went camping last weekend near a beach. I am sore all over and have five giant mosquito stings on my legs, but it was really fun to get out.

Well, I would describe this as one long, lazy summer, lol. Hung out a lot with my daughter, she is learning to drive so we have taken some "journeys to nowhere" just to give her practice. We're going to Chicago next week for a little vacation before school starts up again.

Ahaha, I don't have a license even though I probably should get one. Too scared to drive. The bites on my legs have become red welts now. :S Summer always seems too short.

I spent summer hanging about at home. I went to the beach with my family and a couple of other families twice. Got sun-burned the first time because I was using a spray sunblock lotion, and didn't realize that parts of my calves had not been covered. Never using spray sunblock lotion again.

I got a lot of mosquito bites just going out to water the lawn, pick ripe tomatoes, or to feed our rabbits. So I've taken to wearing long pants and long sleeved shirts when I go out, even when it is over 90 degrees. *sweats*

I think mosquitoes are a must for any hot summer... unfortunately. Still I'd take that and some nice weather over the abnormal weather we're getting now... Slowly but surely it's getting chilly here in Canada. >____________<

I miss the long sunny days of summer. It's all dreary now with the exception of a few hours in the afternoon.
