So, does anyone keep in touch with Erik or Lotus?

I'm just curious if anyone still talks to either them, and if so, if anything GoPets related ever comes up in the conversation.
I would just love to know the news if there was ever any talk of something hapening with GoPets. I kow, wishful thinking and all...
I've been really missing the game and the people lately, so I wrote a quick note to Erik on Facebook just saying that I missed it... haven't heard anything back from him, though. Maybe he's shunning all things GoPets.
Well anyway, there's my lament. U_U

I removed them both from my FB.I got tired of being ignored and i wasn;t even posting/asking about GoPets

Even before they closed the game all i was seeing on their profile were Mafia Wars posts lol so i wouldn't get my hopes up about them saying anything about GP.Would be nice though.

If i remeber right they had no plans for it especially with Petville using some of it's features.MY guess they will just keep the idea and not do anything else.Or best case scenario they will be adding more of it's features to Petville.

I wish they would have sold it to Play Fish.I am amazed how much they care about what their users want.Also how fast they implemet the ideas.Such a waste...

Last word from Erik a few days ago...Zynga has no immediate plans for GoPets

Daeninn, what are some games by Play Fish that you recommend?

Oh they don't have many lol.I play Pet Society and Restaurant City on a daily basis.Recently started playing Gangster City which is kinda like Mafia Wars by Zynga.Used to play Crazy Planets which is fun but wasn't really my type of game so i stopped lol.Hopefully they will make more games lol.I would love a Fish type game XD

What on earth features does Petville have from GoPets?? Isn't Petville a horribly dull and lame 2D pet game?

Oh, I did finally get a reply from Erik on FB - I had said something like, "I hope you don't think this is spam, but really miss GoPets..." He wrote back saying, "Not at all - I miss it too!"

As for features it had some pattern similarities if i remeber right.I know i made a creature and got bored halfway through the tutorial.Not sure if there are other things that were taken from GP or makes you think of it

They paid for GoPets because they wanted Erik's team to work for them, not because they had any plans for GoPets (Erik said it in the final chat, I wasn't there but I saw it in the transcript). I'm sure Petville was in development long before they acquired GoPets, if there are any similarities it's probably coincidental.
