Next you wait for them to accept, because you can't trade unless you are friends.

By "with note" they mean to put in the friend request that you want to trade, usually for what item or some detail so they know who you are and why you are adding them. (There's a little link to add personal note when you send a friend request.)

When they accept you, you need to restart Pet Society so they will be on your friends list in the game. Then find them on your friend list, send the 4999, and write what they're supposed to send you back with the item to make sure.

First trade done! The person (honghas on the forum) actually sent me 6 Valentine tree seeds and also some plushies as she could see from my house that I'm collecting them.

There are 2 *999's you can get from the BMB (Blue Mystery Box) The Shell Pot and Dainty Pink Ribbon. They're very hard to get though...lol

The PS trading forum moves at a dizzying speed. You can be on the third page in 10 minutes, easy xD

When trading, always ALWAYS check the incoming friend request (f/r) against the person's FB link (on the forum). There are many scammers who watch the trade forum and send f/r, claiming to be the person you think you're trading with.

I was going to buy a few more Olympic torches, but forgot and I think they're gone now. Anyone remember what store they were in?

Any advice on how much I should offer in the trade forum for torches? (In 999s as that's what I've been working on gathering).

Also, I wanted to work on getting all the Valentine's Day stuff before it becomes too rare. Problem is, I don't know what is from last year or this year and what the stuff is worth. Anyone know of a pricing thread? Looking to get the Valentines fish too - how much should I pay for bait?

You won't be able to get the Valentines fish if the biscuit is gone from the Cash Shop. They cannot be re-transferred or resold.

I've been trying to take a look at the Trading Forums for pet society but I keep getting the message box that "you do not have permission to access this page...."
I'm able to see the rest of the forum but for some reason i seem to be blocked from seeing the trading threads...
Just wondering if anyone here might know what the problem is?

Do you have a Playfish forum acct? I think some of the pages are public, but others you might have to be a forum member.

Well, I just logged out from the playfish forum, and that does make the trade forum disappear, although I can still see the other forums. When I try to go directly to a trade thread, it says, "You are not logged in or you do not have permission to access this page." and shows me a big login box. Is that what you're seeing? Or are you seeing something else?

If you're seeing a login link, before you try logging in again, clear your browser cookies, and make sure your computer allows cookies from the Playfish forum.

Or, if you are logged in, there will be a logout link in the menu at the top of the page. Use it to log out, then clear cookies and make sure you can accept cookies before logging in again.

If it works when you try to log in, you should see a screen briefly that says, "Thank you for logging in ." You would not be able to post or contact moderators, if you're not logged in.

I'm hoping the cookies thing will work, but I'm also wondering--when you log in, are you using "Connect with Facebook" or are you just putting in a password directly?

Either way, don't rush to make a second forum account, we can keep trying to trouble shoot this one. If necessary I could post about it on the forum and see if anyone can help. (Someone recently got a permanent ban, even though she had a good trading rep, just because early on she created a new forum login when she couldn't log in one day. They're apparently fanatical about not having more than one forum account. So don't register for a second account.)

Sorry to hear you're having trouble cyerly. It's not you - I find the whole Facebook/Playfish setup quite confusing too. Hope things work out for you soon. Thank goodness we have kind people here like Asynjur and Miti to help us out or I'd be lost in space too.

Are you logging in with the Connect through Facebook option, or putting in a password directly? I need to understand what's going on to ask if anyone knows a solution on the Pet Society forum. Screenshots would help, too, if you know how to make them (blocking out name).

It's strange cuz I remember when I first made my account I was able to see the Trade Forums... so I did verify my account... but then one day when I went to browse around it said I didn't have permission... blah!

Sorry, I don't have any spares you need, right now, anyway, don't know if I'll do any more fishing. I ended up trading 2 for 1 for a couple of the harder to snag items, like the wig and the hairclip. The CC price is horribly high, but since I've always had a thing for mermaids I couldn't resist. Still it totally confirms my feeling I need to take a break from Pet Society, after my contest is wrapped up and all the gifts are sent. I'm spending way too much.

Trick with the fishing baits! Wish I'd know about this yesterday. Since the bait is CC you need to buy it online, but then go into Work Offline to fish and you can preview your item, don't save if it's something you don't like. I'd assumed the items were set at time of purchase--but someone messaged me with a tip to just "close the browser quick"--it's safer to work in offline mode, tried it and it worked just fine. I'm losing patience, though, since the good stuffs are rare drops and you have to keep doing it. I can only reel in so many times!

Yay! I was able to get the whole set of Treasure Bait items thanks to Asynjur's tip. I was also assuming that because you had to be online to buy the bait, that what you would get was determined then, but it's not. Also helped me almost complete my Glow in the Dark fishies.

Anyway, I have extras of these Treasure Bait items. If anyone wants them just let me know and I'll send them on over.
