Dragon Cave Links and Information (Updated May 26, 2010)
Update
I removed inactive links and added new ones. See the new Hatchery links.
If you are new to Dragon Cave, welcome. To find out more information, here is the official FAQ. There is also DragCave for Dummies which is tailored to those first joining the Dragon Cave forums.
Trading, Giving Away Eggs and Hatchlings
If interested in adopting the rare eggs, there are those who specialize in breeding. Some do it to trade eggs/hatchlings, and others to give them away. There is also trading for commons: caveborn, pure, commons of certain lineage or of certain gender. I have seen instances where someone is willing to give away a rare egg for a common of a certain gender so there's hope for those without rares to give or trade away!
No trade or gifting is 100% guaranteed. To increase your chances of succeeding, it is recommended to communicate over instant messenger or chat.
1. Arrange a time to trade at with the person you are trading with.
2. The person abandoning should give the person catching the egg or hatchling's code. The person catching should replace the **** with the code and type this into the address bar and press enter: http://dragcave.net/abandoned/****
For example, if the egg's or hatchling's code is XeM7, the link the catcher types in the address bar would be: http://dragcave.net/abandoned/XeM7. Person catching should make sure that he/she gets the following message:
3. It is recommended that the person abandoning give a countdown before dropping, and even better if the countdown is typed into the instant messenger or chat. The person catching should be refreshing continuously without break at this point until the countdown is complete. Even then, it is recommended to continue refreshing for 3-5 seconds afterwards as a precaution against lag, slow typing of password on the dropper's side, or some such.Try as you might, you can not seem to find the egg/hatchling you are looking for in the abandoned area.

Yup, I can do that. Of course that would mean getting off my lazy butt and actually updating it, lol. I'll let you know when I post the new thread so the old one can be deleted Dae.

Not likely. Just a gift from TJ to one of his favorites, just like the Missingno.

It's actually a glitch Pokemon, I believe, that somehow escaped Pokeworld and planted itself onto someone's scroll. I don't have the link for it but if I find out, I'll post it.

Halloween eggs are out. Also, the vampire dragons now have the ability to "bite" eggs, maybe killing them, or maybe turning them into vampire eggs.
The odds for turning hatchlings/adults into zombies are very good right now (supposed to be only for Halloween, don't know at what hour exactly they will change back). You get five chances to kill and revive adults or hatchlings into zombies. I was able to get one adult and one hatchling zombie on my account, and the same on my daughter's. Never killed a dragon before, but I really wanted zombies!

I got a frozen hatchling and one female one. Lost 2 live hatchlings and an adult male.
Got myself one of the new ones but no vampires yet.
Each zombie dragon takes up a kill spot, just so you know. There are other information that I don't remember and have to leave now so I won't be able to search for it in the forums. Will post when I can.

I managed 4 fails and one Zombie on mine. I did two scrolls catching for friends...one had 3 successes no fail, one had two successes no fail.
I guess I just zombiephail ^^
m2m, PF13 has the only missingno http://dragcave.net/view/n/Missingno
I am also looking for a Vamp or two!

LOL, thanks for the link Miti - that missingno sure has a lot of views!
I can eventually (hopefully) get Vamps for everyone. I have three adults and have succesfully bitten one egg so far. (Couldn't try for more yet since I'm scroll locked with Pumpkin dragons.) Once I get my hatchlings then I'll be glad to bite eggs for the rest of you. It may take quite a while though since they can only bite once a month.

Re: Dragon Cave Links and Information (Updated May 26, 2010)
Yep, thank you! I would like to get some and get them biting to make Vamps for others, too
Make sure that when you are ready to bite, give the link to the egg you will bite. They often auto-abandon and the catcher will be able to catch it....or catch it on Maeghan's scroll so you don't lose it

Thanks for the advice! I didn't think of being able to get the link from the egg before biting. I'll definitely do that next time.

Re: Dragon Cave Links and Information (Updated May 26, 2010)
Thanks for the update, daeninn. I was starting to think I was the only one still playing DC.
Anyone get the '09 holiday eggs? There are apparently 3 different adult sprites. Pity we can only get 2 but at least the limit enabled some who would not be able to get them otherwise get one or two (like myself).

Re: Dragon Cave Links and Information (Updated May 26, 2010)
Sorry took me a while lol.I have just been lazy and had some pc issues as well.
Yeah i am curious on how they look.I didn't find any pics of them but i am sure there will be in a few days.I will update the post as soon as i find them XD
Ugh i hate the limit thing. After xmas the cave and abandoned cave was full of xmas eggs which noone got due to the limit.
At leats they could let you have 4 of them the next year.It sucks that we can breed last year's dragon but still have the 2 limit thing.

Re: Dragon Cave Links and Information (Updated May 26, 2010)
I understand what you mean about PC issues and laziness. I have experienced both. In fact, I spent the weekend and several days afterward backing up my stuff, reformatting my laptop, and reinstalling Windows XP. I had to do that twice because I think something went wrong the first time. It's such a pain but my laptop was getting way too slow and programs were hanging up on me.
It's a bit better now but I didn't finish installing all the programs I would like to install on it - just the necessary ones.
There is a picture of the three adult sprites:
